Bazaar Celebrating the "Wonders of the Season"

Posted on: October 21, 2016

Wonders of the Season is the theme as the Passavant Area Hospital Auxiliary celebrates its 61st Annual Holiday Bazaar, November 11 and 12 at Passavant Area Hospital. The event runs from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, November 11, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, in the renovated Main Lobby and meeting rooms at Passavant Area Hospital, 1600 West Walnut, Jacksonville. Debbie Bailey and Lisa Kluge are this year’s event co-chairs. “We look forward to sharing and celebrating the ‘Wonders of the Season’ with employees, Auxiliary members, and the entire community,” they said. One of the new items at the 2016 Bazaar is the Meals and Memories Are Made Here cookbook. The cookbook features 162 pages of recipes from Auxiliary members with main dishes, breakfast and breads, appetizers, side dishes, desserts, and soups and sauces. The cookbooks are $12 each. All of the traditional Bazaar favorites return including the Breakfast With Santa for children and the Holiday Luncheon on November 12, Frozen Feasts and Sweet Treats, the Raffles (including a $900 cash prize, Fitbit, Vermont Farm Dollhouse, and more), the Antique Boutique, Gift Gallery, and a room with local vendors. Reservations are required for Breakfast with Santa and the Holiday Luncheon. To secure reservations for the Breakfast, contact Brittany Henry, 371-2602; for the Holiday Luncheon, contact Angelia Foster, 245-9541, extension 3997. Proceeds from this year’s Bazaar benefit Passavant’s stress echocardiography system. For additional Bazaar details, please contact the Passavant Volunteer Department, 245-9541, extension 3199.
