Passavant Area Hospital’s Employee of the Month is Robin Talkemeyer. She is the clerical supervisor in the Imaging Services Department and has been employed at Passavant 13 years.
Her nomination from a proud co-worker read, “Robin always helps out and today she did something extraordinary. We had a gentleman arrive for an exam. He asked me before the exam if I had any tape for his shoe. I looked at it and the sole of his shoe was coming off. He explained to me that he walked from the public library here and it would be a long walk back with his shoe like that. After the exam, I looked for some tape, but nothing was available except medical tape. Robin spoke up and said, “I have brought in a pair of shoes that were my dad’s for a co-worker to try on, but if this gentleman can wear them, he can have them.” Robin gave me the shoes, we brought the gentleman to the office and he tried them on. It was a perfect fit! They were practically a new pair and in much better shape. As I escorted the gentleman to the door, he thanked me over and over. He was new to town and living at New Directions until he could get back on his feet financially. This was great of Robin to do and she didn’t think twice
about helping this patient. This is just one of the many times Robin has displayed this behavior. Thanks, Robin, for being a great employee.
I’m proud to call you my co-worker!”
As a clerical supervisor, Robin’s job responsibilities include clerical staff scheduling, greeting patients and processing imaging forms,
transcription of radiologist reports.
