Our patients complete a short SF-36 survey prior to surgery and at 6-month and 12-month points.
That feedback helps us to understand the patients’ perception of their physical and mental wellbeing at those time periods. A significant improvement is noted in the areas of Physical Functioning and Bodily Pain. One year later, patients notice an average of 40 – 41% improvement in those areas.
Volume of Total Joint Procedures
Every year, more than 1,300 patients undergo hip or knee replacement surgery in the Memorial Health System. Organizations that perform a high number of joint replacements enjoy better outcomes and provide an overall safer experience for their patients.
Average Length of Stay
Our care plans are designed to maximize treatment while in the hospital and ensure a safe transition home at the earliest and safest opportunity.
