Carrie Carls, BSN, RN, CWOCN, is Passavant's new Nursing Director of Wound Ostomy Continence Services (Wound Center). She began her new duties February 23.
Carls has been employed since 1995, first working in ICCU before transferring to Wound Ostomy Continence Services in 2001. In 2002, she began specializing in the Pelvic Floor Retraining Program, and in 2006, she started the Urodynamics Program.
Carls received her BSN from MacMurray College, and received certification in Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing from Metropolitan State University and the WebWOC Nursing Education Program in 2002. She is a member of the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Society, Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates, and is the support group leader of the West Central Illinois United Ostomy Associations of America.
Nancy Chatham, RN, MSN, CWOCN, CWS, the former Nursing Director of the Wound Center, is now pursuing advanced practice opportunities as part of the Passavant Physician Association.
Chatham will continue to see patients in the Center. She'll also work with Michael Molyneaux, M.D., the Wound Center's Medical Director, to develop satellite wound care clinics in Carrollton and Rushville. In addition, Chatham will work with Dr. Molyneaux on the establishment of the Hyperbarics Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Program. |
