Ambulatory Surgery & Recovery Center

Having surgery doesn’t mean you have to pack your overnight bag for the hospital anymore. Our Ambulatory (or outpatient) Surgery Unit provides patients with the utmost convenience and care with planned, same-day surgical procedures that let you recover in the comfort of your home. From your pre-admission screening to your postoperative recovery, we’ll take care of you the entire day then send you home to recover in your own bed.

Typical ambulatory surgeries performed at Passavant include:

Nerve repair
Cataract removal
Intraocular implants
Diagnostic procedures
Elective sterilization
Carpal tunnel repair
Ear/nose/throat surgery
Dilatation and curettage
Hemorrhoidectomy
Bunionectomy
Breast biopsy
Dental surgery

If you are scheduled for surgery at Passavant, please review our steps for Preparing for Surgery. Remember, you will not be able to drive for at least 24 hours after the surgery. Please plan on having someone with you the day of the surgery to drive you home and accompany you the rest of the day. A Surgical Waiting Area is provided for those who are waiting for family members or friends undergoing surgery.
